My Favorite Trek Episodes – DS9 “The Homecoming”, “The Circle” and “The Siege”

With yesterday’s announcement of a brand new Star Trek series premiering in 2017, I felt it was time to share another of my favorite Star Trek episodes. This time around I’m going to cheat a little and talk about three of them, “The Homecoming,” “The Circle,” and “The Siege” from Deep Space Nine. This trio of episodes focuses around the return of Bajoran war hero Li Nalas during a time of serious upheaval as the Bajoran Provisional Government begins to fall apart and civil war looms. Saturday Review | Love: the Fox

From time to time I find myself staring at my double screens in my basement office, wondering why I’m not lying in the grass on an island paradise and watching the fauna go about their daily business.  Then I opened the pages of Love. The Fox and I was there!  This book is reminiscent of all the beautiful, animal stories that I read as a child (The Jungle Book, Cinnabar the One O’clock Fox, and Redwall all come to mind).  From the first pages, I was enchanted. Saturday Review: Doctor Strange #1

As we near the end of Marvel’s Secret Wars, we are slowly seeing the influx of new books coming out. One such book is Doctor Strange, appearing in his first solo series in many years. Editorial | Review: The Paladin #0

A year and a half ago, I picked up a copy of The Paladin #1 for the first time at TWCC and really enjoyed the beginning of a brand new series–and it was the beginning of publication.  However, The Paladin #0 is the chronological beginning of that journey.  In this book, the writer is telling the story of two brothers caught in the same situation two years apart.  They are both being asked to join a group of very official looking men who appear to be government agents of some kind.  One is a powerful telekinetic, and the other has a gift that is never expressed.
