Editorial | Follow Up Review: Clash of Clans

Many months ago, I reviewed a little mobile game called Clash of Clans, by Supercell.  Since then, the game has completely exploded across mobile devices (it’s the top money making game on both iOS and Android right now) and has been imitated by many other games since its 2012 debut, including The Simpsons: Tapped Out and even the upcoming Call of Duty: Heroes.

Unlike most of the mobile games I review, I stuck with Clash for quite a bit longer than the few weeks of play that it usually takes me to get a reviewable feel for the game.  In fact, my Town Hall is now level eight, and I’m in Gold League III with 1500 trophies. Continue reading

Why Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is Doing So Well

Losers. Criminals. A-holes. All of these are accurate descriptions of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the titular team of Marvel’s latest blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy. Not only did this movie meet expectations, it utterly annihilated them. Saturday Review: Thor & Loki, The Tenth Realm

This summer, as with every summer for the last seven years, I have found myself eyeballs deep in the latest comic book event. This year it is Marvel’s Original Sin, which to my surprise has been pretty enjoyable. What is even more surprising is how much I’m liking the tie-in, especially this week’s Thor & Loki: The Tenth Realm #2.

Saturday Review: Saga #21

I have been a devoted fan of Saga since issue #1. I still remember reading that first issue in my car and being blown away and wanting more, but knowing I’d have to wait a full month before I could have some. Since then, whenever a new Saga issue comes out, it is the first book I read. While I am still loving the book, I have to admit that I am even more lost than ever.
